ESL Adjectives For People

How many different ways can you describe someone? It’s likely that you know words such as tall, thin, big and beautiful but let’s explore some alternative ESL adjectives to describe people.

Lustrous is an adjective that typically means ‘shiny’ amongst other things. When we describe a person as having ‘lustrous hair’ we mean that their hair is shiny and full of life (and beautiful..).

The next image is self explanatory. These are essentially different ways of describing someone with muscles, however, please note that the final two (abs of steel, washboard stomach) are a direct reference to the abdominal muscles. You may have also heard the term ‘6-pack!’
